It’s already been a while since July, but I couldn’t pass the opportunity to post a few pictures of this gorgeous wedding I shot in London. After a lovely civil ceremony, the newly weds hosted a buffet lunch at their St John’s Wood apartment. As the bride is from Russia, the food theme was easily found, with caviar and blinis, fish, and many delicious Russian treats. The evening was an intimate soirée hosted at the Ritz in London, which gave a perfect backdrop to this glamorous wedding. The couple and their thirty guests were first treated to a champagne reception in the blue salon, before heading to the spectacular red dining room for a fabulous seated dinner. Late in the night, the party continued in the blue salon with more champagne – and Russian vodka! – dancing until the break of dawn…
Here’s a gorgeous wedding I shot in the South of France, in beautiful St-Jean-Cap-Ferrat at the end of September. The bride and groom had put a lot of thought and effort into the preparation and you could tell they had every single detail covered – from the lovely customised hangers, the amazing bouquet and outfits, through to the decoration of the church and the whole set up of the reception. The evening was hosted in a beautiful “mas provençal” and the tables were set up outdoors, by the pool, under a sea of light and paper garlands. The effect was pretty magical.
Back in early September I shot a wonderful wedding near Paris. The bride’s family country house was chosen as the wedding location and a beautiful white tent was dressed in the garden to host the dinner and the party. The overall colour theme was white which I thought worked perfectly: from the dinner setup and decorations, through to the cortege girls’ pretty dresses and the bride’s white hydrangeas bouquet, every detail was carefully thought and executed. A special mention to the bride’s dress by Laure de Sagazan which was an absolute delight of elegance, freshness and femininity.
I am delighted to introduce my brand-new professional photography website: Astrid Templier Photography. You may also find it in the menu of this blog.
After several years of being passionate – if not obsessed – about photography, I have finally decided to silence any doubts and branch out on this new adventure to become a full time professional photographer.
Creating beautiful photographs, capturing the great moments, the people and all the wonderful things that make life worth living is what drives me. And this is what I am striving to achieve in every single photograph I take: trying to encapsulate the beauty of each instant and make it last forever.
The highlight of my new website is wedding photography. I have always loved to photograph weddings, as this special day really is always so unique for every couple. They are so happy and in love, they quite literally glow. I always feel very fortunate to witness and capture those one-of-a-kind moments. Another great way to get amazing couples pictures in a more relaxed environment is the “engagement” sessions. Before or after the wedding, they are usually set in a location that is meaningful to the couple and allow them to really enjoy the moment. Photographing people is one of my favourite things, so I guess it comes as no surprise that I also shoot all kinds of portraits: friends, family and maternity pictures, as well as corporate.
Despite being French, I am based in London and am always happy to travel in the UK and abroad for photography commissions. If you require more information, please don’t hesitate to give me a call on +44 7500 598 213 or email me on firstname.lastname@example.org. I hope to hear from you soon!
